Domaine des Grandes Esperances
Domaine des Grandes Espérances is located in the Touraine appellation within France's Loire Valley, a region whose wines were once cherished by French royalty. The estate belongs to the renowned local group Saget La Perriere, a powerful and consistently reliable producer. The domaine has already obtained both Ecocert organic certification and Terra Vitis sustainable certification.
The winery's style is as straightforward and approachable as its labels—designed to let drinkers enjoy pure, unburdened pleasure with vibrant fruit aromas and a smooth, silky texture. The vineyard soils are rich in flint stone, and the wines are fermented or aged in neutral terracotta amphorae, old oak barrels, and stainless steel tanks, preserving the most authentic fruit expression and terroir character. Each year, the estate consistently receives scores around 90 points from Decanter, Hachette, and RVF (Revue du Vin de France), and has been continuously included in the Bettane + Desseauve guide for many years.
Region : Loire Valley - Touraine (AOC Cremant de Loire)
Grapes : Chenin Blanc
Taste : The long ageing period results in very fine, delicate bubbles. On the nose, this crément is complex and very typical of the Chenin Blanc grape variety, delivering light aromas of flowers and white fleshed fruit. Very fresh on entry to the palate, becoming more and more powerful, with a taut, saline finish.
