Remoissenet Père & Fils
Remoissenet Père & Fils, located in Beaune, France, was established in 1879 and is a renowned, historic négociant with over 150 years of history. Remoissenet sources high-quality grapes from winegrowers based on quality rather than quantity. It also owns its own vineyards, which have obtained organic certification. The estate's team composition is comparable to that of top-tier domaines. Pierre-Antoine Rovani, former partner of Wine Advocate, serves as President; Bernard Repolt, former manager of Maison Louis Jadot, is the Managing Director. The renowned female winemaker Claudie Jobard holds the position of winemaker; her mother was the head winemaker in Joseph Drouhin for nearly 30 years. The overall style is pure, balanced, and precise. Its ancient cellars house over a million bottles of aged Burgundy treasures, earning it the nickname "Sleeping Beauty" in the industry. Since 2023, the estate's own vineyards have obtained organic certification.
Region : Bourgogne Meursault
Taste : Citrus, lemon, and white flowers are complemented by delicate notes of butter and toasted nuts, while a hint of minerally salinity adds complexity. The palate offers the rounded richness characteristic of Meursault, immediately enlivened by fresh acidity. Ripe fruit flavors are beautifully balanced by a distinctive mineral character, leading to a long, lingering finish with a subtle hint of cream. This wine pairs wonderfully with dishes such as scallop bisque or French duck rillettes.
